Community Visioning Forums
From April 22 until May 30, 2019, the County’s Department of Health Services, Public Health Division, in partnership with Hope Rising and other local agencies and community organizations, hosted five “Health and Wellness Forums” throughout the County. These Forums gathered information toward a Comprehensive Health Improvement Plan (CHIP).
These meetings were an important way of hearing first-hand from our community about their concerns, needs, and ideas for solutions moving forward. We are invested in creating changes that will help build resilience in all communities across the Lake. Information and feedback from these Community Visioning Forums will help with the development of a Community Health Improvement Plan and help move us towards a healthier Lake County!
Community Visioning Forums were first conducted in January 2018 to great success as they resulted in the creation of Vision 2028, a plan for economic resilience and improved infrastructure in Lake County. We know this method will be just as effective in developing our CHIP.
